Units of Competency
All the listed units competency must be completed to receive the BSB61015 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management qualification.
Entry Requirements and Pre-requisites
The course will be available for those students who are 18 years or older and have completed Year 12. International Students are required to have an English ability at the IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
There are no pre-requisites for this qualification.
Local and international students who require skills in management as well as those with substantial experience in business/management industry gained through employment but who lack a formal management qualification.
After completion of the qualification, a person could obtain employment opportunities in various business and commercial enterprises as a:
· area manager
· department manager
· regional manager
Job roles and titles may vary across different industry sectors.
RPL and Exemptions
APEX must recognise the AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by any other RTO. RPL and Credit Transfer are available for students to access prior to enrolment. More information is available in the APEX student handbook.
Summative assessments are conducted during and on completion of training for each unit to determine if the learner is competent. Summative assessments at the end of each unit will be conducted using a project assignments and written tests. Assessment methods may include: Assignment, Questioning, Case Study, Third Party Report, Self-assessment, In Class Activities, Observation, Role Play and RPL.
Mode of Study
The 12 units of competency are delivered throughout the 60 weeks of tuition. The qualification is delivered over 6 terms (each term is 10 weeks). Each term is followed by 3 weeks of holidays.
Classroom based learning and up to one-third of the course may be delivered online.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals that apply specialised knowledge, skills and experience working as developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts/ An individual at this level uses initiative and judgement to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions, having responsibility of personal and team outcomes. They use cognitive and communication skills to identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources and transfer their knowledge to others. They use creative or conceptual skills to express ideas and perspectives or respond to complex problems.
