Warning for Chinese Students: SCAM
Monday 4 June 2018
The Department of Home Affairs has issued warnings to Chinese students who are being targeted by scammers posing as Chinese authorities and/or employees of DHL.
Scare tactics are used over the phone, threatening victims with deportation and demanding payments in an attempt to convince the recipients their identity has become involved with criminal activity. Now more elaborate acts of deception are being used, including image-based abuse, plea-bargaining with fake judiciary and extortion.
Students are warned not to engage or send money but to hang up the phone immediately and report it to Scamwatch. Contact IDCARE by email email@example.com or Ph 1300 432 273 if you have any concerns.

AIE students attend the Fine Food Exhibition: The Australian Food Industry
Sunday 15 September 2019
Last Wednesday (11 September 2019) AIE hospitality students attended the Fine Food Exhibition: The Australian Food Industry.
Fine Food Australia is the leading trade event for the food and hospitality industry.
It was a great opportunity for our students to learn from industry leaders about practical solutions to hospitality operations, discover new and innovative taste and sensory experiences for menus, and network with hundreds of other chefs, restaurateurs, café and bar owners, and other food operators.
